What you would use to extinguish a stake? Water or more fire?
Thus, it is only love that can extinguish hatred.

320. Silently shall I endure abuse as the elephant in battle endures
the arrow sent from the bow: for the world is ill-natured.

321. They lead a tamed elephant to battle, the king mounts a tamed
elephant; the tamed is the best among men, he who silently endures
abuse.

322. Mules are good, if tamed, and noble Sindhu horses, and elephants
with large tusks; but he who tames himself is better still.

306. He who says what is not, goes to hell; he also who, having done a
thing, says I have not done it. After death both are equal, they are
men with evil deeds in the next world.

307. Many men whose shoulders are covered with the yellow gown are
ill-conditioned and unrestrained; such evil-doers by their evil deeds
go to hell.

The only true love is the joy of generous giving retreating in silence, without desire, nor expectations.
Who will empty his own joys giving them all, will be fullfilled by a renewed and glowing happiness.
Although it may seem absurd, this is the law of the Whole.
Those who remain full of himself, barricaded in the barrier of the self, is like a bowl full of food that goes bad slowly in a dark, inaccessible cave.
Not a single new drop of golden honey may be added.
Never again will still enjoy its sweet taste.

The character is decomposed into parts:

气 [means man blowing - air]
米 [means rice plant]

The Meaning of QI in eastern culture is “spiritual energy”; this meaning is not present in Western culture.
The QI means “breath of life and spiritual” that nourishes life as the “rice” does.
From a chemical point of view it should be noted that the rice gives energy to the body.

A good teacher is better than the most sacred books.
Books contain words, and Chan (the Zen) cannot be transmitted by mere words.

Five Principles

Usui was an admirer of the literary works of the Emperor Meiji (明治天皇 Meiji tennō).
While in the process of developing his Reiki system, Usui summarised some of the emperor’s works into a set of ethical principles, which later became known as the Five Reiki Precepts (五戒 Gokai, meaning “The Five Commandments,” from the Buddhist teachings of being prohibited against killing, thievery, sexual misconduct, lying, and for intemperance).
It is common for many Reiki teachers and practitioners to abide by these five precepts, or principles.

“The secret art of inviting happiness,
The miraculous medicine for all diseases.
At least for today:

  1. Do not be angry
  2. Do not worry
  3. Be grateful
  4. Work with diligence
  5. Be kind to people

Every morning and evening, join your hands in meditation and pray with your heart.
State in your mind and chant with your mouth.
For improvement of mind and body.
Usui Reiki Ryōhō.”
The founder, Mikao Usui

290. If by leaving a small pleasure one sees a great pleasure, let a
wise man leave the small pleasure, and look to the great.

291. He who, by causing pain to others, wishes to obtain pleasure for
himself, he, entangled in the bonds of hatred, will never be free from
hatred.

273. The best of ways is the eightfold; the best of truths the four
words; the best of virtues passionlessness; the best of men he who has
eyes to see.

274. This is the way, there is no other that leads to the purifying of
intelligence. Go on this way! Everything else is the deceit of Mara
(the tempter).
